Hi, my name is Jalicia
and I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida (Grand Park and Out East to be specific). While I have always been a talker around close friends and family, my life has been a constant journey of finding myself through my voice. I began writing and performing spoken word poetry when I was a freshman at Stanton College Prep, and my love of language and communications grew from there.
I attended Florida State University from 2016-2020, majoring in Political Science and Public Relations. As a student I was one of five Truman Scholarship Nominees for the university, a Gilman Scholarship recipient, and a Social Science Scholar through the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy.
During this time, I interned at ESPMedia, a public relations firm with deep roots in the Tallahassee community. These experiences fine tuned my ability to craft clear, cohesive communication that proudly shows who you are.
In 2022, started working at the JAX Chamber in the Public Affairs Department, coordinating government affairs meetings and policy briefs. I eventually transferred to Member Relations in March of 2023, sparking a new love for entrepreneurship that makes a difference. This led me to create Real You Consulting in June 2023 with the mission of empowering clients to reach their goals through skillful communication and public speaking – while being their most authentic selves.

In my free time, I enjoy reading the Dune series by Frank Herbert, singing karaoke, stand up comedy, skateboarding and spending time with my cat / supervisor Selena.
